Product description
One roll of yellow gas-line PTFE thread seal tape is supplied. The tape is an extra-heavy, full-density PTFE (Teflon) formulation made specifically for gas service and other fuel-handling applications.
This yellow tape is intended as a leakproof joint sealant for pipelines carrying natural gas, propane and butane. It is also suitable for many water, oil and chemical connections where a robust PTFE seal is called for. The material is manufactured to provide thicker coverage than standard white plumbing tape.
Use the tape on threaded pipes, conduit, valves, bolts and any threaded fittings. Wrap the tape around male threads before assembling the joint; the thicker film fills thread gaps and helps prevent leaks, while still permitting disassembly when required. Follow recommended wrap counts for the size and pressure of the line.

Fixed a BBQ regulator leak
Wrapped the regulator-to-hose coupling on a Weber Q1200. Tape was thick but manageable; easy to find the end and tear. Two wraps sealed the leak; without it the joint leaked. Would buy again.
