Nathan ExoDraw & ExoShot 2.0 14 oz Handheld Running Flask
Product description
This package contains the Nathan ExoDraw / ExoShot 2.0 handheld flask: a collapsible 14-ounce soft flask with an integrated hand strap, a push/pull Race Cap bite valve, and a small stash pocket sewn into the exterior for carrying gels, keys, or cards.
The bladder is made from flexible, food-safe materials with a soft-touch exterior and a structural spine to reduce collapse as contents are consumed. The strap is adjustable to fit most palms and includes a detachable fastener for easy washing. Reflective accents improve visibility in low light.
Intended for running, hiking, ultrarunning and outdoor activities, the flask is held in the hand or looped on the wrist and sipped from the bite-style Race Cap. The pocket keeps a couple of gels or other small items accessible while you move.
Pros
- Lightweight and low-bounce when carried
- Integrated pocket for gels or keys
- Soft, collapsible flask with easy sip valve
Cons
- Only 14 oz — may be small for long outings
- Some reports of wear or separation over time
- Silicone bladders can retain odors for some users
VerdictComfortable, lightweight, and purpose-built for runs and hikes. The 14 oz soft flask and built-in pocket suit short to medium outings, offering easy sipping on the move and minimal bounce. Some users note limited capacity or occasional durability issues, but overall it’s a practical choice for hands-on hydration during training and races.

Ideal size for runs
Good capacity for running; I usually stash a single gel in the pocket. The soft flask collapses as you drink, eliminating air pockets, and the build feels solid.

Capacity too small for long runs
Construction is nice, but 14 oz isn’t enough for longer sessions. Would prefer another 6 oz for extended outings; fine for short runs.

Quality and easy to clean
Feels well made and cleans up without hassle. Doesn’t slosh and the pocket fits one or two gels. I’d recommend it to fellow runners.

No slosh, secure fit
A reliable handheld option — stitching is strong and the soft flask prevents the water from sloshing like rigid bottles do.

Highly recommend for summer runs
I relied on this for almost every summer run. It’s light and easy to carry. The pocket holds three gels snugly (two are more comfortable). Sipping on the move is simple — I used it in a half marathon and was pleased.

Lightweight and comfy
Perfect for runs — surprisingly light when full and sits comfortably in the palm. Easy to drink from and tucks into shorts pockets when empty.

Bite valve is effortless; durable design
You simply bite the mouthpiece and water flows; release and it stops immediately. It never leaked when shaken. No fiddly lock/unlock steps, so it’s low-stress to use and keeps hands clean. An embedded spine stops the flask from folding awkwardly as it empties, and the wrist strap reduces grip fatigue; the strap detaches for washing. The silicone is soft and resistant to tearing, so it holds up well compared with thin soft flasks. On the downside, silicone can carry an odor that transfers to water. I mitigated it by soaking with lemon water and diluted sports drink, which helped but didn’t erase the smell completely. Also, frequent use may cause slight yellowing. Overall, it’s a superb running companion despite these minor issues.

Comfortable but durability concern
I liked how it felt, but after about five runs the top section detached. If you need something for daily wear-and-tear, beware — it may not hold up to heavy repeated use.

Too large for small hands
Bought it for short runs but it didn’t fit my husband’s smaller hands. The strap wouldn’t tighten enough and it bounced, so we returned it.
