Trim & Tire Dressing 16oz — Water-Based No-Sling Tire Shine
Product description
Includes one 16 oz bottle of water-based Trim & Tire Dressing designed for exterior rubber, vinyl and plastic surfaces.
The formula produces a rich satin finish that enhances appearance without a glossy, oily look. It is free of harsh silicones and traditional waxes so it conditions rather than strips or dries out trim components.
Apply by wiping or using an applicator pad; the dressing dries quickly and adheres to the substrate, reducing sling onto paint and chrome. Coverage is suitable for full-size passenger tires and surrounding trim when applied sparingly and worked into sidewalls and crevices.
The product also contains agents that repel water and block UV exposure to help prevent fading, cracking and discoloration. Regular reapplication maintains the deep, restored tone of rubber and plastic.
Manufactured in the USA and intended for routine maintenance, it’s compatible with tires, bumpers, moldings, door seals and other exterior trim pieces.
Pros
- Water-based, satin finish without silicones
- Quick-drying, low-sling application
- Provides UV and water repellency
Cons
- Typically needs reapplication every few weeks
- Can be tricky to reach tight tire grooves
- Finish isn’t extremely high-gloss for some tastes
VerdictThis 16 oz water-based dressing restores and protects rubber, vinyl and plastic with a satin sheen and a no-sling finish. It avoids silicone and wax ingredients that can degrade trim over time, and forms a water- and UV-repellent barrier. Ideal for owners who want a clean, low-mess application, it performs well on tires and exterior trim. Results last a couple of weeks under normal conditions — so

Tires looked refreshed on my SUV
Bought this for my XT6. Pleasant scent, easy to apply, and it made the tires look renewed. It conditioned the rubber well and I’ll keep using it on my vehicles.

Nice look but short-lived
Gave a clean appearance, but the effect faded sooner than I hoped and it’s hard to work into all the tire edges.

Worked wonders on a classic
Applied to tires, weatherstripping and a vinyl top on my ’69 Chevelle. Restored old rubber and vinyl surprisingly well. I also use their other detailing products.

Good finish, could last longer
Used it on exterior trim; it restored plastics to a deep finish. Needed reapplying after 2–3 weeks, so longevity was okay but not outstanding.
