SET Waterproof Card Game — Matching & Logic Game for Kids 6+
Product description
This edition of SET ships with a full deck of laminated, waterproof cards and a robust ring/clip that keeps the cards together for transport. The cards are standard playing-card dimensions and designed to resist spills, splashes, and bending for outdoor or poolside play.
Gameplay centers on spotting a SET among cards laid face-up. Each card has four attributes — color, shape, number and shading — and a legal SET is three cards where each attribute is either identical across the three or different on each. Twelve cards are usually placed on the table; players race simultaneously to identify a SET, call it out, and collect those cards. Correct sets are replaced from the deck and play continues until the deck is exhausted; the player with the most sets wins. The game supports solo challenges, small groups, and larger family play.
Because the puzzle requires matching multiple visual features at once, SET trains spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, and logical thinking. The waterproof construction and clip make the set easy to toss in a bag, attach to a beach or swim bag, and play in damp conditions. It accommodates a broad age range, though younger children may need time to grasp the rule set.
Pros
- Durable waterproof laminated cards
- Portable clip keeps cards together
- Sharp visual and logical challenge
Cons
- Steep learning curve for very young kids
- Punch hole can tear after heavy use
- Fast pace may overwhelm some players
VerdictA fast-paced visual logic game turned travel-ready: durable waterproof cards on a sturdy clip make it ideal for beaches, pools, and on-the-go play. It rewards quick pattern recognition and works across ages, though it has a learning curve for very young children and the punched hole can wear with heavy use.

Longtime favorite—waterproof version works well
I’ve enjoyed this game for decades, so getting a waterproof set was an easy choice. The cards don’t bend or tear and survive being clipped to our beach bag. A handy, reliable travel game that holds up to summer outings.

Excellent family travel option
Wonderful for multi-age family play — everyone from little kids to grandparents joined in. The waterproof cards and the clip are very handy. We did have a couple cards rip at the punched hole after heavy use, but otherwise it’s great for trips.

Great for team events and meets
Bought for swim meets and it’s been a hit — even survived a rainy day without issues. Cards are normal size and more durable than typical paper decks. The game plays to different strengths: my dyslexic child excels with visual memory, so we all have a blast even if I don’t win often.

Instant favorite for our beach trip
I picked this up for a family beach vacation and it turned into our go-to game. The cards are clearly laminated and waterproof, and the thick ring keeps them together when not in use. They’re standard card size and feel sturdy. Learning the rules took a minute, but once you get it you can’t stop—lay out 12 cards, scout for three that form a SET (each feature all same or all different), call it out, and collect them. Super addictive and good quality.

Surprisingly thought-provoking
Took this on vacation and it proved trickier than expected. The ring makes it simple to toss in a bag and pull out anywhere. First playthrough had a steep learning curve for the adults; my 4-year-old found it tough but still enjoyed helping, while my 6-year-old picked it up and even beat us sometimes. Definitely makes grown-ups think too.
