Pearl Roadshow 5-Piece Drum Kit with Cymbals & Hardware — Bronze Metallic
Product description
Complete kit out of the box: The Roadshow package ships with five drums, a hardware set, cymbals, throne, sticks and a stick bag so you can start playing immediately. Included items are a 22x16 bass drum, 14x6.5 snare, 12x9 rack tom, 14x14 and 16x16 floor toms, a cymbal stand, hi-hat stand, snare stand, a single rack tom holder, a kick pedal, a drum throne, a 16" crash/ride, 14" hi-hats, two pairs of maple drumsticks and a professional-style stick bag. A promotional poster is also included in the package.
Shell construction and hardware: Roadshow drums use poplar hardwood shells with a 7mm multi-ply construction and a hand-cut 45° bearing edge to help focus the head’s resonance. The shells are fitted with 1.2mm triple-flanged steel hoops for a traditional mounting and feel. Heads come installed so the set is playable after assembly. The included hardware is double-braced with die-cast tier joints and interlocking tilters designed to lock in the position you set, plus slip-free bass drum spurs.
Stands, pedal and throne: Each stand in the kit features double-braced legs for stability, and height adjustments are straightforward. The package includes a dual-chain bass drum pedal and an adjustable drum throne, allowing you to find a comfortable playing position. The snare, cymbal and hi-hat stands offer solid tripod bases to keep components steady during practice and performance.
Cymbals and sticks: The cymbal set supplied with the kit contains a 16" brass crash/ride and 14" hybrid brass hi-hats intended for accents and keeping time. Two pairs of maple sticks are supplied along with a stick bag for storage and transport. While the cymbals serve well for practice, many players upgrade to higher-grade cymbals as their playing progresses.
Tone and use: The snare delivers the attack and sensitivity required for different dynamics; it’s voiced to be audible at both quiet and louder playing. The bass drum provides a wide tuning range aimed at producing low, punchy fundamentals. The rack and floor toms round out the kit so it’s suitable for rock styling, rehearsal, lesson use and beginner gigging with further tuning and head/cymbal changes.
Upgrade paths: Players often replace the factory drumheads and cymbals to tailor the tone. Swapping heads to higher-quality options and adding a few upgraded cymbals instantly expands the kit’s musical possibilities. The Roadshow is built as an accessible platform that is easy to customize as skills improve.
Pros
- Complete package with drums, hardware, cymbals, throne, sticks and bag
- Sturdy double-braced hardware and adjustable stands
- Poplar multi-ply shells with traditional hoops and bearing edges
Cons
- Factory cymbals are basic and many replace them
- Stock drumheads can benefit from an upgrade
- Some small hardware parts may need adjustment after delivery
VerdictThis Pearl Roadshow 5-piece kit supplies everything a new drummer needs to begin playing right away. The construction — poplar shells, multi-ply build and triple-flanged hoops — and the included double-braced hardware give a solid foundation. Expect the stock cymbals and heads to be functional but modest, and many players quickly upgrade them for a fuller tone. Overall it’s a complete, attractive

Great rock-style setup and tone
Very good drum set for playing; the separate drums allow better resonance and the setup suits rock playing. The finish is lovely and the sound holds up well when tuned.

My great-niece is loving it
I bought these for my adult great-niece and she absolutely loves them. She’s been playing non-stop.

Solid kit after fresh heads
The set arrived early and was easy to assemble. After installing new heads and some e-rings it sounds great. The cymbals and hats are the weakest link but functional for practice.

Second Roadshow kit — all parts arrived
This is my second of this model. Everything listed came in the boxes to assemble the kit. The finish leans a bit darker than the photos, more red than orange, but the shells arrived intact and well machined. I swapped some stock hardware and cymbals with previous upgrades, and the included stick bag and sticks were nice extras.

Needs a few immediate fixes
Box arrived damaged by the carrier. The factory batter heads struggle to hold tune, and the cymbals grinded and left flakes. After fitting better heads I found a couple of toms were uneven, causing some tuning trouble.

Starting drums at fifty-one — a pleasant surprise
I bought this as a Christmas treat and worried at first it might be a mistake. The kit looks great and once I learned how to tune it I practiced every day. With patience I’m making steady progress; the set feels professional and attractive, and it’s been a joy to play compared with other kits I tried.

Excellent Christmas present
Bought for my husband two years ago and still going strong. It arrived complete with a seat and sticks, making it a ready gift. We later added more pieces of the same brand easily. He even cut a hole in the bass drum to suit his setup.

Quick delivery, mostly complete kit
Ordered on Friday and it arrived Tuesday. I was missing three washers for the floor tom hardware, not a big deal. The cymbals are weak and I replaced the drum heads, but visually it’s a beautiful kit and plays well after a few upgrades.
