5-Inch Outdoor Rain Gauge with Mounting Bracket and Magnified Scale (Green)
Product description
This rain gauge holds up to 5 inches of precipitation in a weather-resistant acrylic tube designed for outdoor use.
It arrives with a removable hang bracket plus two stainless steel screws so you can fasten the holder to a post or fence; alternatively the gauge can be used on its own as a yard or garden stake for easy removal and cleaning.
The printed inch markings and numbers are white on a green background, and the tube’s scale is magnified by more than 35% to make readings easier from across the yard.
What’s included: one 5" acrylic rain gauge, one hang bracket, and two stainless steel screws. Installation is simple — mount the bracket to a surface or place the gauge in soil for direct viewing and routine emptying.
Pros
- Durable weather-resistant acrylic construction
- Magnified scale for improved legibility
- Multiple mounting options included
Cons
- Tube may be small to read from some windows
- Plastic bracket long-term durability unknown
- Should be brought indoors before freezing temperatures
VerdictA sturdy, easy-to-read 5" rain gauge that offers flexible mounting and clear visibility. The acrylic tube resists weather, the magnified scale improves legibility from a distance, and the included bracket and stainless screws let you mount it on posts or fences or use it as a standalone garden stake. Good value for casual home monitoring of rainfall.

Several mounting choices and very legible
Attaches in multiple ways and the numbers are readable from about twenty feet. Solid feel — not flimsy. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting an easy-to-see gauge.

Bought another to give away
Got a second unit for a friend. Mine is tied to a fence with bungee cords and I tip it to empty. I sprayed a clear sealer on the back to prevent paint wear. Easy to read and worth the money. Bring it indoors in freezing weather.

Reliable in hot, sunny climates
Simple and accurate. Replaced my old gauge after moving; it's endured Florida sun and heat for two years and still performs well.

Accurate but could be larger for some windows
Clear and seems accurate; after a one-inch rain it matched my old gauge. The blue face should resist sun fading. I wish it were a bit bigger — it's hard to read from my kitchen window. Mounting is straightforward; time will tell how the plastic holder holds up. Note: the tube tapers, so volume per inch varies.

Convenient placement and good value
Works as expected. We keep ours in a flower pot to reach it easily. No assembly unless you mount it to a fence; clear markings and good value.
