Weber Deluxe Poultry Roaster — Gourmet Poultry Roaster
Product description
Weber’s Deluxe Poultry Roaster ships as a patented roasting kit designed to sit on a grill and cradle a whole bird. The set consists of the roaster base with an integrated central cup and the ceramic-coated roasting chamber, engineered to resist sticking and simplify cleanup.
The interior is finished with a non-stick ceramic coating that wipes clean with minimal effort and withstands repeated use. The central reservoir accepts beer, wine, stock, or flavored liquids and creates steam that infuses the poultry with moisture and aromatics as it cooks. The design stabilizes the bird so it cooks upright and evenly, reducing the chance of tipping common with improvised holders.
It’s made to fit all full-size Weber gas grills as well as charcoal grills with 22.5-inch or larger cooking grates. To use, pour your chosen liquid into the center cup, season the bird, set it onto the roaster, and place the assembly on the grill—ideal for indirect heat roasting. The roaster also doubles as a shallow pan to catch drippings, which can be saved for sauces or soups.
Pros
- Sturdy, stable support for upright roasting
- Non-stick ceramic interior makes cleaning quick
- Central reservoir infuses moisture and flavor
Cons
- Center cup holds a limited volume of liquid
- Better suited to small-to-medium whole chickens
- A bit bulky to store between uses
VerdictThis roasting kit is built to make whole-bird grilling easier: a central liquid reservoir steams and flavors the meat, the non-stick ceramic interior wipes clean, and the unit provides a stable platform so birds cook evenly. It’s particularly useful for smaller to medium whole chickens and for anyone who prefers a set-and-forget grilling method. The central cup is modest in capacity, so plan filli

Well-made and long-lasting construction
After comparing a few holders, this one stood out for build quality. It feels durable and should last a long time. The smoked chicken I made had exceptionally moist breasts and great overall texture.

Excellent results after first proper test
Delivery and packaging were prompt and secure. After trying it on my Weber, the results were wonderful. The construction is excellent and it’s dishwasher-safe. The price felt a bit high, but the quality and performance make this roaster worth considering.

Keeps drips off the coals and prevents flare-ups
This unit stops juices from dripping onto coals, so I’ve had no flare-ups. It’s easy to load, move and clean. Results have been fantastic — chicken stays moist and flavorful. I’ve used beer and soda in the cup and both add moisture and taste. Highly recommended.

A more stable alternative to the ceramic throne
I had a ceramic throne-style holder but wanted something that trapped juices instead of letting them drip onto the grill. This Weber unit is coated to prevent sticking and includes a receptacle for beer or other liquids. It encourages you to add liquid, and a 4-lb chicken came out juicy and flavorful. My only minor gripe is the cup’s limited capacity.

Perfect match for the Kettle Grill
If you own a Kettle Grill this roaster works exactly as intended. I followed the manual’s recipe and the results were delicious. Very straightforward to use, rugged construction, and cleanup is simple. I’m thinking of getting a second one for our other kettle—we’ll likely use it regularly.

Sturdy roaster that handles 5–8 lb birds well
I was hunting for a reliable chicken roaster for my Traeger and this handled 5–8 lb birds much better than a simple can-style holder. It cooked faster and more evenly, and the construction prevented tipping. The center reservoir is small, but not a deal-breaker. I can fit two side-by-side in my 22 series and clearance isn’t an issue. Cleans up extremely easily.

Practical, high-quality and versatile
Very handy and built to a high standard. The central cup lets you add beer, wine or stock for different flavors, and the outer tray can roast vegetables like potatoes and carrots right in the pan juices.

Small reservoir but excellent cooking results
The listed dimensions are accurate but the roaster feels smaller than expected. It fits birds of around 4 lb or less comfortably and the liquid cup is quite small once you add herbs. Despite that, the chicken cooks moist, tender and flavorful, and washing the roaster is easy.

Safer and more effective than using a beer can
This product produces evenly cooked, moist chicken and is preferable to using an actual beer can for safety and stability. It’s a solid choice for beer-can style roasting.

One of my favorite purchases in a long time
This roaster cooks poultry perfectly inside and out — breasts stay juicy and thighs crisp. It works in both ovens and barbecues and cleans easily. A reliable trick: brine the bird for several hours with salt, rosemary and a splash of brandy, fill the roaster cup with beer and rosemary, brush with olive oil, and you’ll get an outstanding bird.

Set-and-forget convenience for juicy chicken
Season the bird, pour beer into the cup, preheat the grill and roast at 400°F for about an hour — that’s my routine. The chicken comes out tender and juicy and cleanup is very easy. The juices collected in the base are great to save for soup. Use indirect heat for best results.
