JAOJAO 6 oz Contact Cement — Fast, Flexible Neoprene Adhesive
Product description
Package contents and size: one 6 oz (approx. 177 ml) can of neoprene-based contact cement with an integrated applicator brush fitted into the cap.
Instant, resilient bond: the formula develops a fast, highly elastic connection designed to tolerate temperature swings (resists up to about +80°C), humidity, and everyday flexing. Once fully cured it provides a long-lasting, safe repair for many household and professional uses.
Flexible repair support: cured adhesive remains pliable so it performs well on items that bend or move. It is suitable for repairing leather, rubber, wood, and fabric-backed materials on shoes, bags, upholstered edges and contoured surfaces where a brittle adhesive would fail.
Built-in precision brush for controlled application: the cap houses a brush that helps spread the cement into gaps and around curves for even coverage. Proper application technique and even wetting of both surfaces influence the repair outcome; avoid uneven coating and moisture when possible.
Professional-grade applications: this glue is formulated for demanding tasks such as countertop laminate, shoe sole and leather repair, automotive trim, cabinet work, and craft projects. The industrial-strength bond resists vibration, impact and bending once cured.
Cure schedule and substrate compatibility: dries quickly to handling strength — it begins to set within about 5 minutes, is typically ready for light use after roughly 2 hours, and reaches full cure in about 24 hours. It adheres to wood, metal, many plastics, rubber, leather, laminate, veneer, foam, plywood, fiberglass and more, reducing the need for several specialty adhesives.
Pros
- Fast-setting with elastic final bond
- Integrated brush for precise application
- Bonds many materials including leather and laminate
Cons
- Can skin over quickly on surfaces
- Susceptible to denting in transit
- No printed application instructions in package
VerdictThis 6 oz contact cement offers a rapid, flexible hold for many repair jobs. The built-in brush helps with controlled application to narrow or curved surfaces, and the cured bond withstands temperature changes and moisture. It excels for laminates, trim, footwear fixes, and general DIY tasks, but users should watch for quick skin-over and care in handling damaged packaging — clamp time and surface

Did the job on shoes
Worked as a contact cement. Repaired my daughter's shoes and they're still holding.

Not ideal for leather and no directions
On leather it dries very fast and won't bond if it skins. It's thinner and soaks into leather more than heavier leather glues. Also, there were no application directions included.

Exactly what I needed
Excellent product. It did exactly what I needed it to do.

Not like traditional Weldwood cement
I expected Weldwood-style performance but this behaves differently. It only stays tacky briefly, skins over fast, and you must mate surfaces almost immediately and clamp for a long time. The final hold felt weak compared to typical contact cements.

Holds well on heat-exposed tarp
I used it to glue a tarp exposed to heat and so far the bond has held up very well.

Performs as a contact adhesive
It's standard contact cement — it works as expected and offers decent value.

Replacement arrived but can was dented
I received a replacement for the defective can and the adhesive itself works well. The new can was also beat up but not leaking. I returned the original because it had leaked into the shipping bag.
