ARCTIC P12 Pro A-RGB LN — 120 mm Low-Noise PWM Case Fan
Product description
The LN series P12 Pro arrives as a 120 mm PWM fan designed for silent-focused builds. Included in the package is the fan itself and a Y-cable splitter for synchronizing addressable RGB between multiple fans.
Mechanically the fan uses durable plastic blades molded in a revised shape to balance airflow and noise, and it measures the standard 120 × 120 × 25 mm footprint for universal mounting. The bearing is a fluid-dynamic (self-lubricating) type, chosen to minimize operational noise and extend lifespan.
Speedwise the unit is tuned to operate between roughly 450 and 2000 RPM; PWM control via a 4-pin connector lets you ramp the fan smoothly, and the design allows the impeller to stop at very low PWM duty (0 RPM below about 5%).
Manufacturing tolerances are tightened: minimal blade-to-frame gaps, automatic rotor balancing and high-precision measurements all contribute to reduced vibration and steadier, quieter running over time.
Practically it’s intended as a case or cooler fan where quiet operation matters — use the 4-pin PWM header or a fan hub for dynamic curves, and the ARGB Y-splitter to daisy-chain lighting control across multiple fans.
Pros
- Wide PWM range with full stop capability
- Fluid-dynamic bearing for low noise and durability
- Improved blade design for better low-speed performance
Cons
- Can be loud at maximum speeds
- Some users report missing mounting screws
- ARGB needs a controller or motherboard header
VerdictThe P12 Pro A-RGB LN targets users who prioritize low noise without sacrificing controllable airflow. It spans a wide PWM range and can stop entirely at very low duty cycles, uses an FDB for long service life, and benefits from precision assembly and new blade geometry to reduce vibration and boost low-speed efficiency. Ideal for case intake/exhaust duties or as quiet CPU cooler fans when paired w

Quiet and reliable
Runs flawlessly and stays very quiet.

Good fan, missing screws fixed by support
No complaints about the fan itself — it’s a good 120 mm. Only one of four screws was in the box; support sent replacements after I reported it.

Switched from DC — very pleased
I moved from DC fans and the change is impressive. Very quiet; my PC sits beside me and I hardly hear the fans while browsing or gaming.

Loud even at medium speeds
Unfortunately very noisy, even at mid-range RPMs.

Mostly fine but one dud
Overall solid fans. I bought five; one gets power but won’t spin. I’ll swap that one out.

Too loud for a 'silent' line
They’re aggressive and noisy — not quiet at all. Set up custom fan curves before installing; I have ten in my rig and they make a lot of racket.

Good airflow and low hum
Looks clean and runs quietly. Cable length is generous and the fan shifts a lot of air — solid value overall.

Mounting issue
Mounting screws don't fit.

Quieter on the cooler
Installed on my CPU cooler — temps stayed similar but they’re noticeably much quieter under load.

Perfect fit for my layout
Just what I needed for my case: rear standard, top AIO, side and bottom intake — Arctic fans suit my configuration well and I’d recommend them.
