FZONE 24V Gyre Crossflow Wavemaker — Aquarium Circulation Pump
Product description
Crossflow performance: The unit uses Crossflow Technology to generate broad, sweeping currents rather than a narrow propeller jet. That design helps eliminate stagnant zones and simulates more natural ocean-like movement for coral and fish.
Controller and features: Included is a backlit LCD controller that shows real-time settings. Power is adjustable from 40% to 100% and frequency can be tuned across 18 discrete levels. Four programmable modes (Constant, Pulse, Tidal, Turbulent) are available plus a one-touch 10-minute feeding pause to suspend flow during feeding or maintenance.
Construction and safety: The wavemaker runs on a 24V DC low-voltage system with sine-wave motor control and a multi-stage coil motor for smooth delivery. The housing uses high-grade ABS and fully sealed magnets for the mount to resist saltwater exposure. The magnetic mount secures the unit to aquarium glass; the sealed dry-side magnet option supports sump-side installation in certain models.
What's in the box: Each package contains the gyre pump head, the LCD controller, power adapter and cable, magnetic mounting assembly, mounting bracket hardware, and an instruction manual. The set-up is plug-and-play with adjustable venting to aim the flow.
Sizing guide: Four model options match different tank lengths and flow needs — FZ-1200 (up to 1150 GPH) for tanks to ~60 cm (≤ 23.6 in); FZ-1600 (up to 1600 GPH) for 60–100 cm (23–39 in); FZ-2400 (up to 2400 GPH) for 90–150 cm (35–59 in); FZ-4200 (up to 4200 GPH) for 120–250 cm (47–98 in). Choose the model that suits your aquarium dimensions and stocking level.
Support and warranty: The product includes a one-year limited warranty and manufacturer customer support for troubleshooting, part replacement, and sizing advice.

Responsive company and dependable replacement
My first unit arrived making a grinding noise, but the manufacturer provided clear troubleshooting and quickly shipped a replacement. The swap fixed the issue—good product backed by solid customer service.

Stopped working after a couple months
Worked perfectly for about ten weeks — loved the variable power and feeding mode. Then it started rattling and failed. It was disappointing after a promising start.

Extremely quiet and versatile
So quiet I forgot it was running. Power steps in 20% increments from 20–100% and the four modes cover most needs. Excellent quality for the function it provides; I now use them across multiple tanks.

Well-built option for sump installation
Needed a gyre for my sump and appreciated the sealed dry-side magnet design that allows submerged installation. It tumbles chaeto well and delivers strong flow. The LCD controller is convenient, though I’d like more granular speed control.

Powerful gyre and responsive support
Impressed by how much water this unit moves compared with pricier rivals. I ordered the large model at first and it overwhelmed my tank, but customer support helped me swap to the medium unit with no hassle. The medium now runs reliably on low power. Important to select the right size—these are not subtle pumps. Good control modes and a handy feeding pause.

Quiet, strong flow and easy setup
This compact gyre puts out a surprisingly steady crossflow that cleared dead zones in my tank. The LCD controller makes dialing in settings straightforward and the magnetic mount holds firm. It runs quietly even at higher output and helped move debris toward my return. Simple to install and energy-efficient — very pleased with the circulation it provides.

Affordable flow boost for a planted cube
Added to a 20-gallon cube to reduce a rear-zone dead spot. Running tidal mode at a low setting has helped keep plants and CO2 circulation steady. The controller is easy to use and there are plenty of options to tweak as the plants settle in. Overall it delivered the targeted improvement I wanted without being intrusive.

Produces a perfect standing wave
Works great in my 35-gallon reef. Aim toward the surface, use pulse mode, and step the gear slowly to find the standing wave that suits your display. One of the 18 gear notches will lock in the rhythm.

Solid choice for new users
Overall I’m happy with this circulator. It’s reasonably quiet and the controls are intuitive. It can make noise if air or debris are trapped, but otherwise the mechanics are smooth. Considering the feature set and build, it’s a sensible option for first-time buyers.

Tiny unit, huge impact — fish love it
Running a single unit in a 60L AIO and it transformed flow without traumatizing corals or fish. Magnet is impressively strong and controls are intuitive. Adjusting vent angle and pattern achieved a more natural current that my livestock clearly prefers.
