BLACK+DECKER Perfect Pint Countertop Ice Cream Maker
Product description
The BLACK+DECKER Perfect Pint Ice Cream Maker is built for those who want single-serving frozen treats made at home. The unit includes the motorized base, a reusable 16-ounce pint container with lid, a magnetic paddle that connects to the lid, and the removable spindle/drill assembly. The pint size holds about two cups of mix, ideal for one or two servings.
Materials are primarily BPA-free plastic for the pint and lid, with a magnetically coupled paddle and a washable spindle. The paddle attaches to the lid via a strong magnetic connection, creating a sealed spinning action that keeps the working area cleaner than some other designs. Controls are simple, offering a standard churn cycle plus a Re-Spin option to refine texture after the initial process.
To use, prepare and chill your base according to the recipe, pour it into the pint, snap on the lid with the paddle attached, and insert the pint into the base. The machine raises the pint to engage the drive and spins the paddle to transform frozen mix-ins into smooth ice cream, gelato, sorbet, or frozen yogurt. After churning, removable components — including the pint, lid, and paddle — are safe on the top rack of most dishwashers for easy cleanup. The stationary spindle on the base should be wiped down between uses to keep the unit tidy.
Pros
- Produces consistently creamy single pints
- Magnetic, sealed paddle reduces seepage and eases cleaning
- Dishwasher-safe removable parts for straightforward cleanup
Cons
- Motor is noticeably loud during operation
- Extra pint containers and accessories are limited
- Stationary shaft requires manual wiping between cycles
VerdictA flexible, user-friendly pint ice cream maker that consistently produces creamy frozen desserts and handles a wide range of recipes. Its magnetic drive and Re-Spin function give reliable texture, and cleanup is straightforward thanks to removable dishwasher-safe pieces. Expect a fairly loud motor and limited extra pint accessories, but overall it’s a solid choice for personalized, single-pint bat

Totally impressed after switching from another brand
I had issues with my previous machine and tried a different brand that arrived defective. My first pint from this unit was excellent. It’s simpler to operate than what I used before, made a perfect batch in one cycle, and was easy to clean. The paddle connects magnetically to the lid and the spindle is long and easy to wipe. The motor is loud but manageable. Keeping this one.

Perfect portion size for a single person
I live alone and don’t want a large tub. This makes two cups — about two servings — which is ideal. It’s very simple to use with short cycle times and predictable results. I’m very pleased with it.

Excellent texture and flavor control
After reading comparisons I chose this and haven’t looked back. I’m not focused on high-protein formulas; I use it to hit calorie goals while keeping carbs moderate. A recent blueberry-and-cream batch (light cream, blueberries, egg, vanilla, pinch of salt and a tablespoon of sugar) turned out incredibly flavorful and smooth using the regular setting. Using some sugar did help the texture.

More sanitary design than competitors
This produces the same great texture as similar machines but avoids issues with liquid seeping into the lid thanks to the magnetic spinner. It’s easier to keep clean, has a smaller counter footprint, and feels more hygienic. The only downside is limited availability of extra pint cups.

Simple, effective — would recommend
This straightforward machine surprised us in the best way. Pints are the right size, the safety latch that raises the container to engage the spinner is reassuring, and the magnetic paddle works great. In about three minutes we made lime sorbet, frozen yogurt, and a protein-based pint that all came out creamy and refreshing.

Great for frozen yogurt and easy cleanup
I didn’t find a lot of info before buying but it delivered. Results are comparable to other pint machines I read about, and cleaning is simpler — I put removable parts on the top rack. It is loud during the short churn cycle. If you only make traditional large batches, a classic churner might suit better, but for single pints this is ideal.

Outstanding results, some upkeep required
I enjoy making high-protein, low-calorie pints with this. A few caveats: the shaft on the base needs wiping after every run or remix, it can be noisy, and I noticed price fluctuations after purchase. That said, the finished product is excellent.

Frustrating customer support experience
The machine itself functions well, but I got zero help when I asked to buy an extra inner bowl. The warranty leaflet directed me to support and I was bounced between three departments with no resolution. I’m returning the unit due to the lack of response.
