180-Gallon Black Resin Outdoor Deck Storage Chest — Waterproof
Product description
Reinforced double-wall construction with steel supports
This deck chest is built with a two-layer resin shell and internal steel bars to increase rigidity and longevity. The reinforced panels aim to reduce flex and give the unit a more robust feel than single-wall models.
Weatherproof, UV-stable resin finish
Made from UV-resistant, molded resin, the chest resists fading, rust and water intrusion. The material is designed to stand up to sun and rain so cushions, garden gear and parcels stay dry.
180-gallon capacity and what’s included
This listing is for a large 180-gallon capacity chest in black. Included in the package are the interlocking panels, hardware clips, and the hydraulic gas rods for the lid. A padlock can be fitted to the latch (padlock not supplied).
Hydraulic lid and bench capability
Gas-assisted hinges hold the lid open and slow its descent to reduce the risk of pinched fingers. The top is intended to double as a bench surface, with the design rated to support typical seating loads when assembled according to instructions.
Tool-free assembly and portability
Panels snap together using a clip system that lets one person assemble the unit without tools in most cases. Integrated side handles make it easier to lift or reposition the chest on a deck, patio, or porch. Empty units are fairly light, so adding weight or contents will stabilize them in windy conditions.
Pros
- Weatherproof, UV-resistant resin construction
- Reinforced double-wall panels with internal steel bars
- Hydraulic lid with lock-ready latch and bench function
Cons
- Lid alignment can be loose or floppy on some units
- Larger capacities are trickier to assemble
- Fairly light when empty; may need weighting
VerdictThis roomy 180-gallon resin deck chest delivers solid weather protection, easy setup, and a dual-purpose design that works as both a storage unit and a seating surface. The reinforced double-wall construction with steel supports gives it credible strength, and the hydraulic lid makes access safer while the lock-ready design helps keep items out of sight. Assembly is largely straightforward thanks

Clean look and keeps water out
Put together without trouble. Feels stable and has kept the inside dry during wet weather.

Handy for chair covers, just watch the lid
Fits my lawn chair covers and also room for sprays and other summer items. The lid is a touch floppy—best to lift with both hands.

Avoid the larger capacity if you want hassle-free builds
I assembled the large 150/180-type unit and found the instructions poor and pieces hard to keep aligned until the final panels were in. The finished chest felt a bit flimsy, the lid flexes and doesn’t sit perfectly straight.

Good value and practical for garden gear
Bought two and they’ve held up through heavy rain. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but they’re solid for storing hoses and sprinkler parts.

Works well for deliveries and toys
I use it for package drops and it does the job. It’s lightweight when empty, so add weight if needed, but it closes securely and looks good for outdoor toy storage.

Sturdy unit, assembly was a breeze
Solid construction and very quick to assemble—took me about five minutes. It looks nice and holds a lot of items. I’d happily get more given how easy it went together.

Perfect compact chest for porch pickups
Exactly the size I needed to leave shirts for pickups. I would prefer a bit more heft, but it’s sturdy enough, simple to assemble, and has impressive capacity.

Packages stay dry even in wind-driven rain
Assembly was straightforward and the box keeps deliveries dry even when wind pushes rain against the door. I added a small sign so carriers know to place items inside.
