Package contents: The box contains 54 flat soapstone pencils plus 2 clip-style pen holders. The supplies are intended as refills for standard soapstone holders or to be used directly as stick markers.
Materials and dimensions: Each marking stick is crafted from natural white soapstone. Individual pencil dimensions are approximately 4.3 inches long by 0.5 inch wide, with a thickness of about 0.16 inch (110 x 12 x 4.2 mm / 3/16"). The flat profile produces consistent edges and fits many common holders.
Performance and use: These soapstone pencils leave a bright, erasable white line that is easy to see on dark metals and rough surfaces. Because the cores are natural soapstone, they don’t introduce contaminants into weld seams and can be wiped or scraped away as needed. They are suitable for making layout lines, cutting guides, and welding marks and may be used by simply holding the stick or placing it in a clip holder.

    The soapstone itself marks cleanly, but the supplied holder feels cheap—use the sticks without it or get a sturdier clip.
