23.6-inch Extra-Tall Camping Stove Windscreen, 8-Panel Protector
Product description
Extra-Tall Design: This windscreen is built with eight tall panels to provide extended coverage for burners and taller stove setups. The increased height helps block crosswinds and channels heat upward, protecting flames and helping maintain consistent cooking temperatures.
Portable & Compact: The screen folds down to 23.6 x 6 x 0.4 inches (60 x 15 x 1 cm) and comes with a storage bag for packing. When collapsed it becomes very slim, making it straightforward to stow alongside other camp gear. Weight is approximately 4.4 lb (2 kg), so it’s portable for short drives or basecamp trips rather than long-haul backpacking.
Heavy-Duty Construction: Manufactured from galvanized iron, the shield resists oxidation and corrosion and tolerates high temperatures. The eight plates are firmly linked so the assembly holds together during use, and the metal surface wipes clean after cooking. It’s intended for repeated outdoor use and rugged conditions.
Improved Heat Efficiency & Fuel Savings: The reflective metal panels not only stop wind but also bounce heat back toward pots and pans, accelerating boil times and reducing fuel consumption. That makes it useful for conserving fuel on longer trips or when using limited canisters.
Versatile Outdoor Use: Suitable for camp stoves, propane burners, Dutch oven setups, hot-tent stoves, grills and picnic cookouts. Use it for camping, road trips, fishing trips, backyard barbecues or any situation where wind or inefficient heat loss is an issue. For very windy conditions, adding weights or anchors at the base improves stability.
Pros
- Tall eight-panel coverage improves flame protection
- Durable galvanized-iron construction resists corrosion
- Folds compact and includes a storage bag for transport
Cons
- At ~4.4 lb (2 kg), not ideal for long-distance backpacking
- Can tip in strong gusts unless anchored or weighted
- Metal construction adds weight and can dent if mishandled
VerdictThis tall, 8-panel windscreen offers strong wind protection and heat reflection thanks to galvanized iron construction and closely linked panels. It folds very compact for transport and includes a storage bag, making it handy for car camping, picnics, and camp kitchens. The unit’s weight and metal build give durability but make it less ideal for ultralight backpacking and, in strong gusts, it may

Tall steel windbreak
Steel construction, tall and robust — not meant for backpacking but excellent for tall propane burners and Dutch oven cooking.

Keeps the flame alive
I needed a tall barrier for my high-pressure propane cooker and this fits the bill. In heavier gusts I set bricks at the base and ran a beaded chain through the end holes to steady it. Very handy for outdoor cooking.

Built like a tank
I use this as a reflector for my stove in hot tent setups. It’s extremely heavy-duty.

Solid heat spreader
I placed it in front of an overheated bedroom radiator and it redirected the warmth nicely. The extra height is exactly what I wanted.

Helps, but not a total cure
Bought it to shield the pilot on my propane travel heater. It reduced the drafts but couldn’t stop very strong winds. It has some heft so I thought it’d stay put, but it did tip occasionally. Folds very thin for storage.

Too flimsy for me
Feels quite flimsy and toppled over easily in my testing. Based on my use I wouldn’t recommend it.
