YOSUDA Wooden Foldable Magnetic Rowing Machine for Home
Product description
Engage over 85% of your major muscle groups with a rowing machine built to combine design and function. This wooden rowing machine ships as a complete unit that includes the main wooden frame with attached magnetic resistance unit, sliding seat and rail, footrests with straps, a handlebar, the monitor module with Bluetooth capability, and the hardware and tools needed for assembly.
Construction mixes a furniture-grade wooden exterior with a reinforced steel subframe and durable components: dual-bearing seat rollers, a 135 cm extended rail for a longer reach, and a thick profile frame designed to remain stable during dynamic strokes. The product rating lists a maximum user weight capacity of around 400 lb, while the magnetic resistance system provides 32 distinct levels and is rated to deliver up to the equivalent of 60 kg of resistance for progressive intensity.
The resistance is generated magnetically, which keeps operation whisper-quiet and allows for early or late workouts without disturbing others. A self-powered generator inside the console eliminates the need for external power or batteries. Bluetooth connectivity transmits metrics—time, distance, calories and stroke rate—to compatible apps and services including Kinomap, Zwift and FED for guided or interactive sessions.
Use it by adjusting foot straps, setting a resistance level, and performing full rowing strokes that combine legs, core and upper body. When finished, fold the rail and store the machine upright to reclaim floor space. The design aims to blend into modern living areas while delivering a low-impact cardio and strength workout suitable for beginners, seniors, and seasoned exercisers looking for quiet, at-home training.
Pros

VerdictThe YOSUDA wooden magnetic rower blends attractive design with practical home-gym performance. It provides a smooth, low-noise rowing motion with 32 resistance levels and Bluetooth tracking for app-based sessions. Solid and family-friendly
Easy to put together and very sturdy. We use it as a family and it holds up well.

Compact unit that performs well for rehab
Recommended by my physiotherapist for rehab, this rower has surprised me. It’s straightforward and offers good value. The ability to fold and stow it away was essential for my small apartment and it does that perfectly. The power progression works for my needs — the 16 resistance steps are easy to adapt to — but I can’t vouch for long, very intense sessions. Also note the stroke feels a bit shorter than gym-grade machines.

A strong magnetic option for home use
There are several rower types: magnetic, water, air and spring/gas. I’ve tried three of them. For home gyms I recommend magnetic resistance because it’s much quieter than air-driven machines and more practical than noisy fan units. Air rowers give a superior feel but create a lot of sound that travels through the house, while pure spring/gas designs are the cheapest and don’t compare in smoothness. This magnetic model is a sensible compromise for home use.

Well-built, quiet, and easy to assemble
I tested the upgraded YOSUDA rower to add low-impact whole-body workouts into my routine. Assembly was simple with clear instructions and the included tools — took about 30 minutes. The heavy steel frame feels very stable and won’t shift during hard efforts. The fold-up mechanism lets you store it neatly and the magnetic resistance runs nearly silently. The 16-step high-power magnetic levels allow precise tuning of intensity for daily training.

Home rower that feels robust and durable
I’d been looking for a home rower that didn’t feel like a cheaply made compromise. The frame feels solid right out of the box — the metal parts are thick commercial-grade steel rather than flimsy tubing, which gives confidence in durability. Every piece arrived well packed. The stated 160 kg load capacity is believable once you try it, and the seat glides smoothly along a well-built rail. Handles are comfortable and secure. I’d give it top marks for construction.
