CAP 24-Inch Interlocking EVA Exercise Puzzle Mat — 1/2-Inch
Product description
What you get: a pack of six interlocking foam tiles, each 24 x 24 inches, which together cover 24 square feet. The set includes finishing strips to create smooth outer borders so the assembled area has a neat edge.
Material and thickness: tiles are molded from high-density EVA foam at a 1/2-inch thickness. That construction provides a firm but cushioned feel designed to absorb shock, minimize impact on joints and offer protection for underlying floors and equipment.
Connection system and layout: the puzzle-style interlocks snap together quickly for a secure fit and can be rearranged to suit various room sizes and shapes. Tiles can be trimmed with a utility knife for a custom fit around walls or obstacles; finishing strips attach to the perimeter for a clean look.
Surface and maintenance: each tile features a diamond-texture surface that improves traction during workouts and wipes clean easily for routine upkeep. The foam material is water-resistant, making it practical for exercise spaces where sweat or spills may occur.
Function: this flooring helps protect hard surfaces from scuffs and dents while damping noise and vibration from workouts or equipment. It works well under benches, cardio machines with lighter loads, play areas, and general home exercise routines.

VerdictThese interlocking EVA puzzle tiles offer a flexible, simple flooring solution for home gyms, playrooms, and multipurpose spaces. Solid floor solution for my basement gym
Installed these throughout my basement and they worked great. Each piece felt consistent in quality and they covered the space well. Very happy with the result for a home gym setup.

Holding up well after months of use
I've had these mats for about three months and they're performing nicely. I arranged them in a 3x4 layout to fit our space and use them under a bench and dumbbells. Heavier weights leave short-lived impressions that spring back over time. They're comfortable enough for floor exercises without being overly soft, and cleaning is easy — you can vacuum them directly. Planning to add another set when I expand the gym. Overall a dependable buy.

Good cushion for light-duty tasks
These provide a nice balance of softness and firmness. They give enough padding to be comfortable while remaining supportive — I even use them when working under my car for extra floor cushioning.

Versatile, kid-approved padding
I bought these to serve many roles — a toddler play spot, porch padding, a mat under a pop-up shelter — and they fit the bill. The tiles are a good size and feel sturdier than I expected. I like that edge pieces can be attached or removed for a tidier look. My daughter already loves rolling around on them. I’ll update later on longevity, but for now I’m pleased.

Simple to fit, durability concerns noted
Perfect for converting my basement into a toddler play area — easy to cut and lay with just a box cutter. Two negatives: some interlock tabs weren't cleanly trimmed, which makes edges look uneven, and the foam isn't very dense, so light objects leave marks. Those impressions may bother some, but installation was straightforward.

Quick install for a small home gym
I set up a basic gym in a spare room using multiple packs. Assembly was fast — under an hour including cutting pieces to fit — and they covered most of the floor well. Not very thick, but adequate for moderate home use where heavy lifting isn't involved.

Lasted years under heavy use
We installed this type of flooring in our finished basement years ago and it served as our home gym surface. It was easy to lay wall-to-wall and cut to size. Over time it did compress a bit, but it lasted about eight years of daily use before we replaced it due to normal wear. No major damage, just general thinning.
