Rug Tufting Gun Kit — 2-in-1 Cut & Loop Tufting Tool
Product description
This kit arrives as a full starter set so you can begin tufting without sourcing extras. Included are the main tufting gun (capable of cut and loop operation), a carpet trimmer for refining edges and lettering, twenty rolls of yarn, a 39" x 39" tufting cloth, a 39" x 35" non-slip backing sheet and a cleaning brush/squeegee for finishing and maintenance.
The gun itself can be switched between cut-pile and loop-pile modes by hand, letting you choose different textures for your work. It offers adjustable stitch speed from roughly 5 to 40 stitches per second and the motor spins at a no-load up to about 10,000 rpm — the manufacturer positions it as dramatically faster than manual methods, increasing production by many times compared with hand tools.
Controls let you tailor both the speed and the pile head height, so you can slow things down while learning or speed up for larger areas. The carpet trimmer included helps trim letters, smooth curved edges and tidy borders after tufting so designs read cleanly.
Ergonomics focus on comfort for extended work: the unit weighs about 3 lbs and comes with a 360° adjustable auxiliary handle to find a comfortable grip and angle. The lightweight construction reduces fatigue for hobbyists and crafters working on multiple pieces.
Safety features are built into the electrical system, including protections against over-voltage, over-current and short circuits. Follow the power-up sequence and ensure the main switch is set correctly before engaging the trigger or operation button. With practice, the kit supports a wide range of DIY patterns and projects.
Pros
- Dual cut-and-loop functionality for varied textures
- Comes with fabric, backing, yarn and trimming tools
- Lightweight with an adjustable 360° handle for comfort
Cons
- Minimal printed instructions included
- Some reports of early component failures
- Yarn rolls are relatively small for larger projects
VerdictA versatile starter kit for makers who want to learn tufting quickly. The tool switches between cut and loop modes, runs at adjustable speeds up to 10,000 rpm no-load and delivers fast stitch rates. The bundle supplies fabric, backing, yarn and a trimmer so you can begin projects right away. Some users report sparse instructions and occasional reliability issues, but overall it’s lightweight, easy

I love it
Kit arrived complete and in great condition. The yarns are thin but that’s minor. Machine looks solid; haven’t stress-tested it yet.

Almost no instructions; rough start
The product may be fine, but the manual is minimal and linked videos were unavailable. After hours of searching other tutorials I managed to thread it, but yarn keeps popping out despite checking tension. Not sure if it’s user error or a defect.

Complete beginner, thrilled
I was nervous about using a powered tool, but after watching tutorials I sketched a pattern and started. It wasn’t as hard as I feared and was really fun. Two hours flew by and I’m now buying more yarn. The gun is forgiving and easy to fix mistakes—perfect for starting out.

Two units failed, warranty helpful
First gun broke after about 20 hours when a metal piece snapped. Replacement arrived but stopped working after 30 minutes. Support helped troubleshoot and worked toward fixes, though the delays were frustrating.
