Klein Tools MM325 Digital Manual-Ranging Multimeter — 600V Tester
Product description
Key capabilities: The Klein MM325 is a manual-ranging digital multimeter that measures AC and DC voltage up to 600 volts, DC current up to 10 amps, and resistance up to 2 MΩ. It includes continuity and diode test functions and a dedicated battery-test mode for checking common cells. The meter uses visible LED indicators to show correct test-lead placement, helping avoid misconnection and improving safety while testing.
Design and accessories: The meter ships with a pair of flexible test leads (approximately 3 feet each) and an operation and maintenance booklet. The housing is built from impact-resistant plastic with a rubberized overmold that helps protect the instrument during everyday use. The LCD has a backlight for low-light work, and a data-hold function preserves readings for later review. For hands-free operation there are rear test-lead holders and a built-in kickstand; a magnetic hanger can be used for additional convenience (optional Cat. Nos. 69445 or 69417).
How it’s used: This is intended as a field tool for electricians, hobbyists and tradespeople who need reliable, clear measurements on wiring, batteries, chargers, outlets and general troubleshooting. Because it is manual-ranging, users select the measurement range rather than relying on auto-ranging; that approach gives you control and can speed routine checks when you know the expected values. The unit’s lead-alert LEDs and robust casing make it suitable for workshop and garage environments.
About the maker: Klein Tools designs many of its test and measurement products with input from professional electricians. The company emphasizes durable construction, practical features and ongoing manufacturing expertise, continuing a long history of tools crafted for tradespeople.

Great for home and workshop tasks
Product arrived as described and is well packaged. The plastic enclosure is thick, so be careful when removing packaging. It includes two fairly long test leads (about 3' each) and a clear instruction booklet. Materials and construction look like they’ll last if treated properly. Ideal for around-the-house electrical checks and light shop use.

Sturdy manual unit that handles garage work
I chose the MM325 because I wanted a tough manual multimeter for automotive and DIY tasks. The casing feels substantial and the Lead Alert LEDs make probe placement obvious so you avoid mistakes. It survived a couple of drops and the backlight is useful in dim spaces. Readings have stayed consistent for DC voltage, and it’s a trustworthy, no-frills meter for hands-on jobs. Just be aware that manual-ranging means you’ll change ranges yourself.
