Expandable EVA Hard Shell Motorcycle Tail Bag — 23–35L Waterproof
Product description
Rugged EVA outer shell: The bag is formed from high-density EVA, giving it a semi-hard structure that guards contents against knocks and scrapes during rides. The shape holds its form under load and adds an extra layer of impact resistance compared with typical fabric luggage.
Expandable 23 to 35 liters: Starts at roughly 23 liters and can be grown to about 35 liters using the integrated expansion system, allowing room for a full-face helmet when opened up. Inside there are multiple compartments and pockets to separate smaller items and keep tools, gloves, and electronics organized for quick access.
Weather protection included: A dedicated waterproof rain cover is supplied to shield the bag when conditions turn wet. The cover is sized for the bag when expanded so your belongings stay dry even in heavy rain.
Carry options for off-bike use: Two breathable mesh shoulder straps tuck away for backpack style transport, and a molded rubber top handle with branding makes short carries simple. Attachment straps secure the bag to a rear seat, fender, or rack and can be tightened to compress the load.
Looks and use: The design is modern and unobtrusive, pairing well with contemporary motorcycles. It’s intended for riders who want protected, expandable storage without installing a fixed top box, suitable for daily commutes or longer trips.
Pros
- Semi-rigid EVA shell for extra protection
- Expandable capacity from 23 to 35 liters
- Includes rain cover and shoulder straps
Cons
- Zippers can feel stiff at first
- Attachment clips may not inspire confidence for long-term roadside security
- Not recommended to leave unattended on the bike
VerdictA sturdy, versatile rear seat bag that protects gear better than a soft pack and converts to a backpack for off-bike use. Offers solid weather protection and roomy expansion, though zipper smoothness and long-term strap durability may vary.

Fits my Tracer 9 well
Mounted cleanly on my Yamaha Tracer 9. A full-size helmet fits, but only when the bag is fully expanded.

Sturdy and roomy
Exceeded expectations on build and capacity. I’ve mounted it on a KTM 390 Adventure and it’s been solid so far.

Between a backpack and a tail bag
Holds a full-face L helmet, an XL jacket with armor, and tight gloves. Doubles as a backpack thanks to shoulder straps, and the four corner straps make removal simple. Good value alternative to a rigid top box, though the fabric straps and clips feel like potential weak points over time.

Not fully waterproof
The rain cover helps, but the bag alone isn’t completely watertight in heavy exposure.

Good middle-size option
Nice capacity and several mounting choices. Side zippers were a bit sticky at first and could use lubrication for smoother operation.

Practical semi-hard shell design
Good balance of structure and flexibility — 23L base, 35L expanded. Comes with a rain cover and shoulder straps. Zippers were a little finicky and require care, but compression straps help stabilize the load once mounted.
