This product is a six-pack of 20x25x1 MERV 8 replacement filters intended for use in residential air conditioners, furnaces, and central HVAC returns. Each filter's nominal label is 20 x 25 x 1, with the actual manufactured measurement of 19 11/16" x 24 11/16" x 3/4" to fit standard slots.
The filtration media is 100% synthetic and electrostatically charged to attract and hold airborne particles while keeping pressure drop low. The pleated design increases surface area to trap dust, pollen, pet dander, lint, and other common particulates without substantially restricting airflow. The MERV 8 rating indicates effective removal of many microscopic particles while remaining compatible with most modern forced-air systems.
Frames use a single-piece, one-sided cardboard construction made from recycled materials to reduce waste and improve structural integrity compared with flimsy multi-piece frames. These filters are comparable to MPR 600 and FPR 5 in filtration performance. Switched from too-high MERV to these with good results
I learned that very high MERV ratings can restrict airflow in typical homes. After swapping my overly dense filter for this MERV 8, the AC cycles less frequently and the system seems happier while still keeping the air clean.

Good option when higher MERV isn't recommended

Sturdy construction fixes a common shipping problem
These arrived with solid frames and none were creased. Many budget filters end up bent in transit and then bow in the slot, letting air bypass the media. The cardboard perimeter here is noticeably stiffer, which reduces the chance of leaks around the edges. Pay attention to the frame strength when replacing flimsy filters.
