Adjustable Boat Cover Support Poles 18–57 in — 2-Pack Windproof
Product description
What’s included: a two-piece set of adjustable support poles with two large round bases, two mushroom-style ABS caps, a set of three straps, and a storage bag.
Base and stability: Each base measures 9 inches in diameter to increase contact with the cover and ground, improving resistance to wind and snow compared with smaller bases. The bases allow threading straps through the cap holes to keep the poles upright while fitting or during storms.
Height range and locking: The poles telescope to eight selectable positions — 18", 38", 41", 44", 47", 50", 54", and 57" — using push-button locks for quick setup and repeatable height settings to match different boat depths or furniture profiles.
Materials and strength: Constructed from 1.27" diameter steel tubing with a 1.2 mm wall thickness, these poles are considerably stronger than thin aluminum or plastic alternatives and are rated to resist loads over 300 pounds. A powder-coated finish provides rust protection and has passed salt spray testing for corrosion resistance.
Cap and strap details: The large 5" mushroom caps are molded from durable ABS to reduce wear on covers. Each cap contains three elongated holes (about 1.4" long by 0.4" wide) to accept straps so you can secure the cap to the cover and brace it against heavy wind or snow.
Use and care: Place the bases under the cover, extend the poles to the desired height and lock them with the push-button system, then feed straps through the cap holes and tighten as needed. When not in use, the poles collapse and stow in the included bag. Customer support is available for questions within 24 hours.
Pros
- Thicker steel tubing resists bending
- Wide 9" bases for greater contact and stability
- Eight quick-select heights for versatility
Cons
- Bases can tip if not weighted or secured
- Base plastic is lighter grade compared to poles
- Pole fit in base may be slightly loose on some units
VerdictSturdy, rust-resistant steel poles that hold up covers and reduce water build-up. Strong construction and multiple heights make them versatile, though base stability can depend on how they’re anchored.

Works well for the cost
Simple to set up and suitable for most boats. Helps water run off better, though I still monitor for small puddles. Aluminum and plastic parts adjust easily.

Solid overall value
Good quality for what it is. The base and cap feel a bit thin but perform adequately.

Pleasantly surprised after initial doubt
I doubted the set at first, thinking the small contact area plus snow would damage the cover. It installed easily and held up through winter without tearing. Glad I bought it.

Good height and durability, but bases need weight
They’re easy to install, waterproof and tall enough for my 20' boat, but the bases can fall over if not weighted. The plastic bases feel cheaper and the poles don’t always fit snugly in them.
