10-Pack Deep Beehive Frames with Beeswax-Coated Foundations (Langstroth Deep)
Product description
This bundle contains ten deep beehive frames intended for Langstroth deep brood boxes. Each pack includes: 10 assembled frame sets (20 sidebars, 10 top bars, 10 bottom bars provided as parts) and 10 plastic foundations, plus nails for joining the wooden pieces. The wooden components are crafted from FSC-certified pine to ensure consistent cuts and a reliable fit in standard deep hives.
The foundations are molded from food-grade plastic and then dipped in 100% beeswax, producing a wax-coated surface that encourages bees to start drawing comb more readily. The foundations come in black, which many beekeepers find makes egg and brood inspection easier. Dimensions for each completed deep frame are 9-1/8" x 19" x 1-3/8", matching standard Langstroth deep brood specifications.
Assembly is straightforward: the pre-cut bars and side pieces slot together and can be secured with the included nails. For extra durability you can apply wood glue to the joints before nailing. Use these frames to replace damaged frames, swap during harvest, or add capacity to a hive. The combination of FSC-certified pine, food-grade plastic foundations, and beeswax coating provides a balance of durability, safety for the colony, and quicker comb development.

Good Wood and Sufficient Wax Coverage
The pine parts are neatly cut which made assembly quick; I used the supplied nails for added strength. The foundations came with a decent wax coating, though I usually add a little more wax myself.

Simple Assembly and Functional Design
Frames are easy to put together and feel sturdy once joined. To get quicker action from the bees I recommend coating the foundations with additional beeswax first.

Well-Matched to Standard Deep Hives
As advertised — pieces fit perfectly in my deep boxes. I’ll order more when I split colonies later in the season.

Solid, Well-Made Frames That Assemble Easily
These frames proved to be a reliable addition to my hives. The cuts are clean and the pieces fit together without fuss. Once built they sit steady in the box and pair well with my existing equipment. Bees accepted them quickly, and they’ve held up through routine inspections.

High Quality Parts and Noticeable Wax Scent
All components fit well and the foundations are clearly waxed — you can see and smell the wax. Everything needed for assembly was included aside from a hammer.

Exactly what I needed after deciding not to build my own
I’ve made many frames by hand and know how time-consuming that is, so buying ready parts saved me a huge amount of effort. These are a practical alternative to crafting deep frames from scratch and include foundations that work fine for the price.

Mixed Experience — Good Build, Foundations Need More Wax
Update after six months: I’ve used a few and found bees reluctant to draw the provided foundations; I had to brush on extra wax to speed them up. Originally, the timber arrived straight with no defects and assembly was easy with glue and staples.
