Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Collector Edition — Flight Stick for Xbox & PC
Product description
This officially licensed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 controller ships as a two-piece HOTAS kit: an ergonomically shaped joystick and a matching throttle base that connect for a combined cockpit-style layout or can be used separately for lap play. The package includes the stick, the throttle, a USB cable and a quick-start leaflet.
Construction relies on durable polymer housings with textured grips and a stable base to keep the unit planted during inputs. The stick delivers 10-bit precision across five axes — including a Z-axis for rudder-like control — and a rapid-fire trigger. A multi-directional hat switch plus 14 action buttons provide direct cockpit-style command options.
The throttle is detachable for flexible arrangements and integrates a dedicated rudder lever alongside the stick’s Z-axis, supporting authentic handling for jets, props and helicopters. Resistance on the stick is adjustable so pilots can tune feedback for heavier or lighter control feel. The throttle runs on a S.M.A.R.T. sliding rail system when paired with compatible rudder pedals from the same ecosystem (sold separately), allowing smooth, precise yaw inputs.
Setup is designed to be plug-and-play for Xbox consoles, while PC users can expect broad compatibility with supported flight sims. Buttons are positioned for quick access during takeoff, cruise and landing, and the modular format fits desk or lap configurations for varied playing environments.
Pros
- Accurate 10-bit, 5-axis inputs with Z-axis rudder
- Detachable throttle for flexible desk or lap layouts
- Wide MSFS and Xbox compatibility with many dedicated buttons
Cons
- Occasional firmware and driver headaches reported
- Sparse setup documentation and mapping guide
- Plastic construction lacks premium metal components
VerdictA solid entry-level HOTAS that delivers noticeably more realism than a gamepad: accurate analog inputs, a separable throttle for flexible desk or lap setups, and dedicated controls tailored for MSFS 2024. Build quality is generally sturdy and ergonomics are thoughtful, but users should be aware of occasional firmware/setup quirks and the lack of an in-box mapping guide. If you want a straightforwa

Good choice for beginners in MSFS 2024
I’m new to flight sims and didn’t want to spend a lot. This HOTAS fit my needs perfectly and performs well for an entry-level setup.

Plug-and-play on Xbox; PC may need extra work
Bought for my son’s Xbox and it worked straight away with no firmware updates required. Minimal instructions but none were really necessary for the console. From what I’ve read, PC can require extra steps to get everything mapped correctly. My son loves it — it makes flights far more realistic.

Would prefer a realistic stand; some input lag
Not what I expected — it could use a dedicated stand for a more realistic feel. I also noticed some delay in control response.

Arrived used despite being ordered new
The box showed signs of being opened: cut tape on the foam, a loose plastic bag and a small scratch on the left side. Functionally the unit works fine and is a good beginner setup, but I expected a brand-new item.

Great starter HOTAS — smooth and responsive
This setup is a fantastic introduction to flight sims on Xbox and PC. Controls feel solid and responsive, and the throttle + stick combination adds a lot of immersion compared with a controller. Setup was simple: plug in and go. The stick has good heft, buttons are reachable, and adjustable resistance is useful. For casual sim players and new pilots this delivers reliable performance without premium materials.

Pre-configured — works out of the box
Already preset and functioning as expected.

Controller failed after months; firmware issues remain
Worked well for about six months, then simply stopped functioning. I updated firmware on PC and Xbox but the problem persisted. Other devices behaved normally, so this unit seems to have developed a software loop. Disappointing after months of good service.

Avoid driver updates — they broke my throttle
Out of the box it worked fine until I updated drivers. After the update my throttle started jumping between 0–25% unexpectedly. Unplugging didn’t help. Uninstalling the drivers and recalibrating fixed it, but it was a stressful experience and nearly had me returning the unit.

Well-built unit but poor setup documentation
The stick itself is solid, but the lack of a clear button map is frustrating. I had trouble finding which control corresponded to throttle and left trigger in some games. It helps to restart the console with the stick connected and use the stick to navigate menus. The hardware seems sturdy and PC compatibility looks promising; just expect some trial and error getting MSFS properly mapped.

Great addition for simulators (Spanish user)
Useful addition for the sim and includes Xbox buttons for console play. I used it on PC with MSFS 2020, 2024 and X-Plane 12 and it worked well. Plenty of buttons for custom configurations.
