Seasoned 17.5" Round Carbon Steel Griddle — 17" Grill & Induction Griddle
Product description
What you get: a single 17.5" round seasoned carbon steel griddle with two upward-angled handles and a shallow rim. The piece ships pre-seasoned using a proprietary blend of shea and coconut oils so it’s ready to use after minimal warming.
Dimensions and form: total diameter 17.5" with a usable cooking surface of 15.63". Total width including handles is 19.25", total height with handles is 4", and the griddle depth is 0.5". The shallow raised perimeter helps contain juices and grease during cooking.
Fit and use: engineered for kettle-style charcoal grills, it is intended to work with a variety of popular kettle and ceramic grills — users should double-check their model dimensions as fit can vary by egg/grill size. The upward-angled handles provide clearance so lids can operate normally and give a secure grip for moving the griddle on and off the heat.
Materials and finish: crafted in Sweden from premium carbon steel, this griddle is a lighter, more responsive alternative to cast iron while still offering robust heat distribution. The factory seasoning provides a naturally nonstick surface with ongoing development as you use and oil it. It’s suitable for grills, stovetops, induction ranges, open fires, and camp cooking.
Performance notes: the thick steel retains and spreads heat evenly for searing and pan-style cooking. Because the handles and body conduct heat, use mitts or a towel when handling hot cookware. With care and regular oiling the surface will build a long-lived seasoning layer and become more nonstick over time.
Pros
- Strong heat retention and even distribution
- Factory-seasoned nonstick surface
- Angled handles allow lid clearance on many grills
Cons
- Heavy and needs substantial storage space
- May not fit all ceramic grill sizes
- Handles become very hot in use
VerdictThis seasoned round carbon steel griddle delivers strong heat retention, an easy-release surface out of the box, and a thoughtful handle angle that clears grill lids. It’s heavy and requires storage space, and not every ceramic grill model will accept it, but for those who can accommodate its size it performs like pro-grade cookware. Ideal for searing, flatbreads, pancakes, and outdoor cooking, it

Quick to heat
Warms up fast and performs reliably — a solid griddle.

Scratched and sizing mismatch
Mine arrived with a long mark that won’t rub off, which felt like poor quality control. Also it didn’t fit my Large ceramic egg; it would only suit an extra-large model. Overall disappointing.

Spacious and heat-holding
The large surface lets me cook several items at once. The thickness holds heat very well.

Sturdy, multi-cultural cooking, excellent support
After a postal mix-up the company sent a replacement free and provided a return label. I use it for lefse and it makes larger sheets than my electric griddle; a friend uses it for traditional flatbread. The metal is hefty, heats evenly, works on a single gas burner, and arrives pre-seasoned. I’d take it camping for open-fire cooking.

Big, round, and perfect for grilling — solid performance.

Solid quality
I use it on my 24 Komado Joe. Only gripe is I’d prefer the side lip a bit higher. Otherwise excellent build and durability.

Reliable and versatile
A top pan in my kitchen; the brand’s cookware is impressive. This griddle cooks evenly, cleans easily, and is very versatile. I’d like to try their stainless line next.

Heirloom for the fire pit
Bought to cook over our backyard fire pit so food wouldn’t fall through the grate. It cooks burgers to pancakes reliably, is easy to clean, and is portable enough for camping. It’s become a regular part of our outdoor meals and should last for years.

High quality but bulky
Cooks evenly and sears well; cleanup is easy. Handles get very hot so use mitts. Its size needs storage room and it’s an investment, but it performs as expected.

Professional-sized and well-made
Needed a large surface to finish seared meats without extra mess. After seasoning in the oven a few times it developed a nice sheen. Carbon steel is robust and heavy; it takes space but handles and raised edge work well and heat spreads evenly with no cold spots.

Multi-use
Handles multiple foods at the same time; excited to try new recipes on it.
