Compatibility and what's included:
This remote is designed for use with Roku Express, Express+, Premiere, Premiere+, Roku Box and Player generations 1 through 4 (models HD, LT, XS, XD, XDS). The package contains one replacement remote only; batteries are not supplied.

Important limitations:
This controller will not operate Roku Stick, Ultra, Game or RokuTV models. It communicates via infrared and therefore does not provide wireless pairing. The unit has no headphone jack, no pairing button, no volume buttons, no voice search function and no power key.

Ready to use out of the box:
No programming or learning steps are required. Simply insert two AAA batteries and the remote will begin working immediately with compatible Roku box and player units.

Shortcut keys:
Four dedicated app buttons put Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Sling at a single press — handy for jumping straight to frequently used services without navigating menus.

Build and performance:
The shell combines upgraded ABS plastic with soft-touch silicone, giving a comfortable grip and responsive feel. Infrared range extends to about 33 feet under normal conditions, and button durability is rated for roughly 160,000 presses in manufacturer testing. Typical response time is around half a second.

The product is covered by an 18-month warranty offering refund or replacement service in the event of defects during the coverage period.

Very satisfied with this non-OEM replacement

Unboxed, added two AAA batteries and it controlled my Roku box via infrared straightaway. The feel, layout and size are close to the original remote; the directional pad has a tactile click (original was quieter), and there’s no Roku branding strip. Remember this is an IR remote for box players, not a Wi‑Fi paired stick or TV remote. Overall I’m pleased with the functionality and cost.

Replaced two remotes with no fuss

I bought two of these to replace remotes for our Roku TV and a standalone Roku box. They synced immediately to the box devices — no setup required. Buttons behaved like the originals. I didn’t get a voice-enabled model, so I can’t comment on that. There weren’t many printed instructions, but they worked as soon as I added batteries.
