Voice Caddie TL1 Golf Rangefinder with Slope & Magnet
Product description
The TL1 arrives ready for the course with the rangefinder itself, a protective silicone sleeve, a soft carry pouch and a wrist strap. The housing is compact and palm-friendly, designed to slip into a pocket or clip to a cart rail using the integrated magnet.
Optically, the unit uses superior-grade lenses with 6x magnification to bring targets into clear view. The bright, two-color OLED display switches between contrast colors to keep numbers legible in low-light or bright sun conditions. An auto-brightness setting adjusts the display to ambient light.
Pin Tracer widens the lock area to help isolate and secure flagstick readings more reliably, while Spot Measure mode lets you pick off fixed targets around the course. Voice Caddie's V-Algorithm merges slope adjustments and course data for more useful distance info on inclines and declines.
Slope can be left active for adjusted yardages or turned off via the Auto Slope switch when you need tournament-legal, line-of-sight readings. The device also features quick acquisition and vibration confirmation when a lock is achieved, helping speed play.
Pros
- Fast, reliable flag lock with Pin Tracer
- Clear dual-color OLED for varied light
- Strong magnetic mount and protective sleeve
Cons
- Can struggle to lock at extreme distances
- Design is utilitarian rather than stylish
- Silicone sleeve attracts dirt over time
VerdictA feature-rich, compact rangefinder that focuses on quick, reliable yardage readings. The TL1 pairs a two-color OLED display with a magnetic mount and enhanced pin-lock algorithm to help you find flags rapidly. For golfers who want a rugged, easy-to-read unit with slope on/off and 6x magnification, this delivers consistent performance on the course.

Replaced a top model in my bag
Has outperformed a higher-priced unit I had. Dual-color screen is sharp and the locking speed is top-tier. Built very solidly and the magnet is extremely strong.

Feels premium and precise
Comfortable in the hand and a very crisp display. Accuracy seems solid. At very long ranges it can hesitate to lock on the flag, but otherwise a very enjoyable tool on the course.

Solid golf companion for on-course use
I've worn this device for five rounds. Compared to a smartwatch golf app, the TL1 is simpler and focused. It boots up faster and finds courses automatically. Accuracy paired well with my Bushnell for checks. The course graphics and hole visuals are very helpful during play.

Two-color viewfinder and fast lock
Upgraded from an older model and glad I did. The cart magnet keeps it secure, and the yellow silicone cover makes it easy to spot. The green/red contrast in the display makes yardage readings very clear.
