Surebonder Full-Size Dual-Temperature 40W Hot Glue Gun (7/16" Sticks)
Product description
What you get: a single full-size hot glue gun in a black housing and a brief instruction leaflet. The tool is built for use with standard full-diameter hot melt sticks (7/16" / 11 mm) in either 4-inch or 10-inch lengths; sticks are inserted into the rear feed and advanced with the trigger.
Power and heat: the unit runs at 40 Watts on a 120V supply and offers two selectable temperature modes — a low setting around 250°F for temperature-sensitive materials, and a high setting near 380°F for stronger bonds and tougher substrates. The internal heater and nozzle are designed to provide a consistent, even melt for smooth application.
Construction and use: the body is molded plastic with a metal nozzle assembly. It is intended for crafting, floral work, DIY repairs, and hobby projects. Low heat helps protect lace, lightweight fabrics, foam, and other delicate items; high heat produces a more durable bond for wood, plastics, ceramics and metal surfaces.
Operation notes: insert a 7/16" glue stick, allow the selected temperature to reach operating range, then apply pressure on the trigger to feed adhesive. Many users use it continuously for wreaths, decor, and repairs; others rely on the low setting for fine detail work. As with any hot-melt tool, exercise caution with the hot nozzle and liquid adhesive to avoid burns.

Stopped working after months
We used this several times a week and it suddenly quit heating after about four months. Started fine but failed too soon for heavy users.

Does exactly what it should
It performs as expected for a glue gun — reliable operation and reasonably sturdy construction.

Solid heat and easy squeeze
I've mainly used the high setting; it’s comfortable to hold, dispenses glue without excessive force, and heats and cools quickly.

Dependable DT-270 for multiple projects
Lightweight and well-shaped, it heats fast and gives a steady bead of glue. Dual heat is handy for switching between delicate work and stronger bonds. Built-in stand keeps it upright and the tip stays tidy between uses. Very satisfied with the performance.

Durable for daily heavy use
I use these all day for work and they last. The thin-stick model failed, but the one that takes full-size sticks has held up over a year of continuous use.

Powerful — watch your fingers
Very effective glue gun for medium jobs, but the high-temperature glue is extremely hot — I suffered a serious burn after a dropped glob. Good hardware for larger projects but handle with care.

Handy with a note on stick size
Easy to operate; I paired it with a switched power strip. Minimal dripping and two heat levels let me control application. Note: this accepts 7/16" diameter sticks, not 1/2".

Very user-friendly
Used daily for a year with good results. Spring finally wore out from heavy use, but the low and high settings performed well.

US plug only
Equipped with a 120V (40W) American plug. It won’t work properly with a simple travel adapter in many regions.
