Digital Candy Thermometer with Pot Clip — 10" Stainless Probe
Product description
This digital candy thermometer arrives as a single compact unit built around one stainless steel probe with an integrated pot clip. The probe measures 10 inches to keep the user’s hand away from steam and hot oil while reaching well into deep pans.
The thermometer uses a clear LCD to display temperature numbers, providing quick, legible readings without extra sugar-stage markings. It responds in roughly 3–5 seconds and covers a wide span from -58°F to 572°F, suitable for candy, caramel, maple syrup, frying, brewing, and cheese work.
Construction centers on a long, durable stainless steel probe that avoids the fragility of glass models. The housing is rated IP65 for water resistance so the probe and unit can be rinsed under running water; the simple single-probe design also reduces sharp edges and cleanup risks.
A clip on the shaft lets you fasten the thermometer to a pot rim for hands-free monitoring while stirring or simmering. The unit has been certified by NSF, reflecting adherence to recognized health and safety standards.
Pros
- Quick 3–5 second readings
- Long 10" stainless steel probe
- Hands-free pot clip and IP65 washability
Cons
- Clip can be unreliable on some pots
- Occasional small calibration offset
- No preset sugar-stage indicators
VerdictA practical digital thermometer for candy, frying, and syrup work — it delivers fast readings, a long, durable probe and a pot clip for safer hands-free monitoring. Watch for occasional clip fit issues or small calibration offsets, but overall reliable for home cooks.

Handy for precise cooking
Very helpful for recipes that need exact temps. The clip keeps it secure while stirring, the screen is clear, and operation is intuitive. A small, practical kitchen tool.

Sensor is great, clip needs improvement
Temperature readings were excellent and battery life lasted a long time. Unfortunately the clip fell loose repeatedly and once dropped into hot oil. Easy to use otherwise.

Minimalist readout, useful recalibration
Shows only temperature, which I like instead of extra sugar-stage labels. It includes a way to recalibrate in ice water, which adds confidence in its accuracy.

Convenient to monitor and walk away
Compared to older models this one is much handier. I could step away briefly and still keep an eye on the temperature thanks to the clip and clear readout.

Replaced my old thermometer — pleasantly surprised
Needed a quick replacement and this worked great. The long shaft reduced splatter risk, the dual clip held steady during stirring, and the display updates almost immediately. Might be my go-to for candy again.

Long probe and instant reads are lifesavers
The 10-inch probe keeps my hands well away from steam while giving precise temps from deep in the pot. Instant-read updates let me hit soft-ball and hard-crack stages without guessing. The pot clip makes continuous monitoring simple.

Melted after first use
Bought it to check frying oil temperature; on the first run the plastic above the oil warped from heat and the LCD went black. Had to throw it away—very disappointing.

A few quirks but fit my needs
Set up and use were straightforward, and cleaning is easy. It tended to read about two degrees low for me, but I adjusted and carried on. Support has been responsive; with refinement this could be even better.
