Crayola 48-Count Crayons — Two-Box Set
Product description
This offering includes two labeled boxes, each containing 48 individual crayons for a combined total of 96 pieces. Each crayon is formed from a pigmented wax core — the standard paraffin-based formula used for smooth laydown and bright, blendable color.
Individual crayons are the classic short, stubby shape most people recognize, sized for comfortable grip by children and manageable for adults working on fine details. The set spans a wide range of hues suitable for school projects, detailed illustrations, coloring books, and general craft activities.
Packaging consists of two fold-over paper cartons with a tuck-in flap to keep crayons organized. While the boxes provide basic sorting and portability, they are not reinforced for rough handling; many users transfer the crayons to a sturdier container for long-term storage or travel.
Pros
- Large color selection across two boxes
- Familiar wax formula for smooth coloring
- Comfortable, classic crayon size
Cons
- Paper boxes can rip or crush
- Occasional broken tips on arrival
- Original packaging offers limited storage
VerdictThis two-box set delivers the traditional Crayola experience: a broad palette, dependable wax cores, and the familiar size that’s easy for small hands. The paper sleeves are functional but not rugged, so consider alternate storage if you expect heavy use.

Trusted feel, flimsy box
Plenty of crayons and they have that classic Crayola aroma and performance. The sticks are the same comfortable size as older sets, easy for kids to hold. The cardboard case, however, wears out quickly — I moved mine to a plastic tub for safekeeping.

Usually dependable, had an issue
I've bought this brand for years and expect consistency. One of the two boxes arrived with several broken tips which disappointed my grandson. Hoping packaging quality is reviewed; I’ll keep buying but was let down this time.
