100 ft Rope Harness Safety Lanyard — Roofing Fall Protection
Product description
ANSI Standard Fall Protection: This 100 FT vertical lifeline assembly meets ANSI fall-protection criteria, intended for professional and trade use where fall risk exists. It’s designed to be a fixed-length lifeline for rooftop, tower and other elevated work applications to reduce exposure to fall hazards.
Premium Braided Polyester Rope: The lifeline is made from heavy-duty 100% braided polyester with a 0.55-inch diameter. The rope is built for low-stretch performance and long service life. Both ends are reinforced with multi-layer sewn terminations and fitted with hardened plastic thimbles to resist abrasion and reduce wear at connection points. The lifeline is rated for a maximum working load of 310 lbs.
Alloy-Steel Rope Grab & Self-Locking Hooks: The kit includes an adjustable alloy-steel rope grab rated with a minimum breaking strength of 3600 lbs. The grab features a double-lock screw mechanism and an anti-panic locking action that will engage automatically during a fall event. Two self-locking steel snap hooks are supplied for attachment to a harness and anchor points; they carry a 5000 lb tensile strength rating and a 3600 lb gate rating and are finished to resist corrosion.
Integrated Energy Absorber: A shock-absorbing element made of polyester material is encased in a durable PVC sleeve and incorporated into the lifeline assembly. The absorber is engineered to deploy under load to reduce peak forces in a fall and offers a minimum breaking strength above 5,000 lbs. Important: the absorber comes sealed in a wrapper that should not be intentionally torn open — it is designed to deploy automatically when activated by a fall.
Applications and Kit Contents: This vertical lifeline assembly is intended for use in roofing, inspections, steep-slope work, window and gutter cleaning, tree work, rescue and other height maintenance tasks. Typical users include roofers, arborists, construction crews, industrial painters and linemen. The package includes the 100 ft braided lifeline with integrated energy absorber, the adjustable alloy-steel rope grab and two self-locking steel snap hooks.

I use this to tie off while painting steep roofs. It performs well and holds my 200 lb weight easily.

Safety that lets you work with confidence
I was hired to work on a very tall roof and finally decided to use proper fall gear. After climbing up and seeing the drop, I bought this lifeline kit. The rope and fittings are well made. The system let me lean out and work faster without second-guessing my safety, so the job was completed more efficiently and without incident.

Absorber packaging needs warning label
The energy absorber comes wrapped with no clear warning — I thought it was normal packaging and cut it by mistake. It still worked, but the wrapper should be clearly marked 'Do NOT remove.'
