Keychron Q11 Ultra 8K Wireless/Wired Split Ergonomic Mechanical Keyboard
Product description
True wireless split architecture: The Q11 Ultra 8K uses a dual-chip synchronization system so each half talks to the other without needing a linking cable. You can attach the halves into a single 75% configuration or separate them to fit your shoulder width for a more natural hand position. The left module can also operate alone as a one-handed input device.
Multiple connection modes: Switch seamlessly among a low-latency 2.4 GHz dongle, Bluetooth 5.3 for pairing up to three devices, or wired USB-C. The board offers cross-platform compatibility with macOS, Windows and Linux, letting you jump between computer, phone and tablet without reconfiguring hardware.
High polling and adjustable response: An ultra-fast 8000 Hz polling option is available in 2.4 GHz and wired modes for minimal input delay; default behavior is conservative (1000 Hz) in 2.4 GHz and wired modes and can be adjusted through the Keychron Launcher web interface.
Customizable, open firmware: The keyboard ships with ZMK-based firmware and is configurable through a browser-based Keychron Launcher. Remap keys, create macros, and tweak per-key RGB without installing desktop software. The two knobs are user-programmable for multimedia, scrolling, or custom macro actions.
Premium components and sound tuning: Built around a CNC-machined aluminum frame, the Q11 Ultra includes hot-swap switch sockets, preinstalled Keychron Silk POM switches (changeable), KSA double-shot PBT keycaps, RGB backlighting, and multi-layer sound-dampening foams to refine acoustics and typing feel. The build is relatively low profile for neutral wrist positioning and is aimed at users seeking a durable, high-end split keyboard.
Pros
- Robust CNC aluminum construction and refined acoustics
- Hot-swap switches, KSA PBT keycaps, and deep customization
- Tri-mode connectivity with optional 8K polling for speed
Cons
- Some users report intermittent wireless reliability

VerdictThe Q11 Ultra 8K delivers a heavyweight build and flexible split layout aimed at users who want a durable, customizable typing platform. It combines a CNC aluminum frame, hot-swap switch support, and quality keycaps with an advanced wireless sync between halves and multiple connectivity modes. Where it shines is tactile feel, sound control via internal foams, and the low-latency 8K option; where s

Looks great but wireless has problems
If judged purely on features it would rate higher, but the RF performance is poor for me—frequent delays and skips while using the dongle. My desk has nothing unusual that would cause interference. I’m considering switching to Bluetooth because the 2.4 GHz link isn’t reliable enough for steady typing.

Love it, but there are some annoyances
I really like the board, though a few things could be improved. The caps-lock lighting option is ineffective because the keycap blocks visibility; a full-keyboard indicator color would be better. Macros can't mix normal keys with some hardware commands, which is limiting. Occasionally a key will repeatedly register without being physically stuck. I use it wireless at 2K polling and swapped the tall KSA caps for cherry profile to suit my typing comfort.

Premium feel and comfort, with a few caveats
The metal case and heft make a strong first impression; the separated layout frees the shoulders and reduces strain during long typing sessions. Switches feel consistent, knobs are useful, and the low profile keeps wrists neutral without tenting. Wireless behavior varies—most of the time it’s fine, but occasional connectivity hiccups and software quirks are worth noting.

Great ergonomics but intermittent disconnects
I moved from a K8 to this split and the feel is nearly perfect, however a couple times a day the right half disconnects for several seconds. Support so far has been unhelpful and suggested firmware updates when none were available. The disconnections are frustrating despite the otherwise excellent layout.

Wireless split that eased my shoulder pain
Owned for a few weeks and it has helped reduce my upper back and shoulder discomfort by letting me split the halves shoulder-width. Coming from a Sculpt, it took some finger re-learning because keys are higher, but I adjusted. Tried another wireless split too, but found the Q11’s spacing more comfortable. Overall very pleased and glad it’s wireless.

A top-quality split keyboard I really enjoy
This board feels very well made and the lighting and customization options are excellent via the launcher. I swapped in quieter switches and the result is blissfully silent. The split layout finally gave me the ergonomic freedom I wanted after using a Sculpt, and the pair of halves allow endless positioning. I hesitated over the flat profile but it suits me—unlike tenting, which I found uncomfortable elsewhere. Overall it feels worth the investment.

Faulty unit and indifferent support
I've experienced persistent lag, missed keys and characters appearing out of order across wired, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth. I tried firmware updates and factory resets, then contacted support with order and serial details. Their response ignored the evidence I supplied. For a premium device this level of support is disappointing.

Excellent wireless split with handy customization
I wanted a quality wireless split and this delivered. The launcher makes remapping easy and the macro row is useful. The keyboard’s weight keeps it stable, though magnetic linking would have been a nice touch. I recommend using a wrist rest, but even without one the low profile is comfortable.

Solidly designed and comfortable halves
Good build and I appreciate that the two halves are wireless. I can angle them for better ergonomics and that helps my posture.
